Equipment Maintenance

NECO Systems, Inc. offers three service arrangement options, one of which is certain to fit your needs. Note that in the absence of a maintenance contract, standard labor rates are charged. On all pieces of equipment covered by a maintenance contract, however, favorable discounted rates apply.

Time and Material Service and Repairs

There is no maintenance contract under this option. Preventive Maintenance and repairs will be made to your equipment at our standard labor rates and materials will be charged as they are used.

NECOCARE is a program customized for the customer to ensure proper preventive maintenance scheduling and procedures for qualified equipment. NECO Systems, Inc. will design a program for each piece of equipment based on hourly usage of the equipment, environmental conditions, age of equipment, and maintenance intervals. The NECOCARE plan includes all labor and travel required to perform the manufacturers' recommendations for preventive scheduled maintenance, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Operation of the equipment for performance diagnosis.
  • Interview with equipment operator(s) or designated contact for performance evaluation of the equipment.
  • Complete visual inspection of the equipment - inside and out.
  • Cleaning with compressed air or vacuum.
  • Inspection and evaluation of all motors, transmissions, gearboxes, pumps, contacts, harnesses, cables, hoses, terminals, connections, wheels, tires, links, linkages, mainframes, cylinders, bearings, switches, brakes, clutches, gauges, lights, horns, guards, forks, chains, stops, bumpers, safety devices, fluid levels, seats, pads, treads, and safety decals.
  • All necessary adjustments including travel speed, lift speed, plugging, current limit, lift relief pressure, auxiliary relief pressure, steering, brakes, chains, and linkages and wire guidance alignment on guided vehicles.
  • Topping off fluid levels and complete lubrication as required. (Fluids, cleaners, paints, and lubricants will be billed as used.)
  • Complete exterior wipe-down and paint touch-up at the discretion of the technician.
  • Follow-up report on the condition of the equipment with pricing for any recommended repairs or services.

NECOPLUS covers qualified equipment for all labor, travel, parts, supplies, and materials required to perform scheduled maintenance as described in the NECOCARE program plus all labor, travel, parts, supplies, and materials required to perform breakdown repairs and service during normal business hours, with the following exclusions:

  • Replacement of wheels (including bearings and races) or tires.
  • Battery & Charger maintenance (see our POWERCARE or POWERPLUS program).
  • Repairs required as a result of negligence, damage, abuse, or accident.
  • Replacement of pads, treads, safety decals, cosmetic items, bulbs, and accessory items.
  • Labor and/or travel charges required before or after normal business hours.
  • Price is based on specific annual operating hours.

Battery Maintenance

Time and Material Service and Repairs

There is no maintenance contract under this option. Preventive Maintenance and repairs will be made to your equipment at our standard labor rates and materials will be charged as they are used.

POWERCARE is a program customized for the customer to ensure proper battery maintenance scheduling and procedures. NECO Systems, Inc. will design a program for each qualified battery based on usage of the battery and the environment it is used in. The POWERCARE plan includes all labor and travel required to perform the manufacturers' recommendations for watering and cleaning, which include but are not limited to the following:

  • Check fluid levels and adjust as required.
  • Clean cell covers, caps, and battery case with neutralizing cleaner (cleaners will be billed as used).
  • Test specific gravity in each cell.
  • Test cell voltage on individual cells.
  • Inspect cables and connectors. (Replacement of broken or bad connectors and/or cables with new will be billed as used).
  • Follow-up report on the condition of the battery with pricing for any recommended repair, service, or replacement.

The POWERPLUS program is only available for batteries less than three years old that were originally purchased from NECO Systems, Inc. and have been maintained by NECO Systems, Inc. since they were installed as new. The plan covers the listed battery for all labor, travel, parts, supplies, and materials required to perform routine maintenance as described in the POWERCARE program above plus all labor, travel, parts, supplies, and materials required to perform service and/or repairs to the battery not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Included in the monthly rate per battery is the care and cleaning of the area that the battery is stored in when not in the lift truck. The POWERPLUS program excludes the following:

  • Service or repair required as a result of damage, abuse, negligence, or accident.
  • Labor and/or travel charges required before or after normal business hours.
